This week I found myself reminiscing about my upbringing, searching for the breadcrumbs that could unravel the story I’m crafting for my upcoming book.
Many of you here know about how I lived around the world, but few know the journey behind it. The shorter version (for the full scoop, you’ll have to wait for my book!) goes like this:
It’s July 26th, 2003 and we’re on a plane to go to Beijing, China. I’m a teenager in the plane with my parents and brother, at the start of an adventure: relocation to the other side of the world.
The country was completely different than from what I was used to.
What I didn’t realise until later in life, was what I had learned from my time at the different schools, people, and cultures.
Experiencing these different worlds, played a pivotal role in sowing the seeds of my own unique approach to business.
These distinct landscapes not only provided me with diverse perspectives but also enable me to develop an approach that facilitates my clients’ grasp of sometimes complex theories with ease and speed.
In China, I found my mojo.
After completing my High School in Beijing, China, I came back later on for my internships and first job. I loved my time here where I spend a total of 7 years.
This photo was when I was 18 years old in Summer Palace, one of my favourite places to visit.
My techniques that I developed there, all those years ago, are the foundation to the way I work alongside my clients in my business today.
As I continue crafting my book manuscript, there are still many months of hard work ahead.
